Sleeping & Glowing

Waking up each day, looking at your reflection and noticing the annoying lines around your mouth getting deeper. It's not a good feeling. Maybe you’ve spotted some extra wrinkles around your eyes? A few more on your forehead? This is your scrunched-up morning face trying to tell you something important; your cotton pillow is betraying you. I know, it’s heart breaking. Your pillow is not the warm and welcoming ally you once believed it to be, it’s stealing the moisture out of your helpless pores, it’s folding your wrinkles even deeper and likely aging your skin faster than anything else.

You know you’re doing all the right things for your face; even if it’s top quality skin care and amazing sleep but you just can’t stop thinking about that 20 something friend with her porcelain complexion. They told you about the infamous “Preventative Botox” they regularly get topped up to keep them looking silky smooth. Now you’re wondering if it’s too late for you to jump on that ever-growing toxwagon? Although the results are backing up the hype, personally, I would rather use it as a very last resort. Luckily, I have looked after my skin since my late teens and I feel like injecting toxins into my face is not for me… at least for now, especially when there are so many amazing alternative methods out there.

Even if you are fresh faced and botoxed up to the glowing heavens, it is highly recommended to sleep on silk pillows and in addition to that, refrain from lying on your face. Even more so if you are un-toxed. With all that being said, one major concern for me is my profound love and adoration for sleeping on my side. It’s the fetal position or nothing baby, it’s just not possible for me to sleep peacefully whilst being flat on my back, I am emotionally allergic to the concept.

Keeping up to date with the latest skin care hacks and research is something I pride myself on. I follow an array of esteemed dermatologists and even communicate with them on a regular basis. Any of them will tell you, Silk pillows are a staple and vital luxury component to include in your skin care regime. The silk prevents the moisture from leaving your skin, holding on to your natural elasticity and any skin care products used. Shamefully, I was holding off on the big purchase for so long because, to me, they just didn’t look comfortable. A life without a gloriously soft, spongey and snug pillow is not a life I ever want to live. I would rhapsodically choose looking like a sagging, 400 year old turtle if it meant having a good quality pillow, it’s a must. Good quality sleep maintains the elasticity in your skin and keeps you looking and feeling healthy. So you can imagine my elation when “Sleep & Glow” popped up on my Instagram feed. They have created a product sent from the heavens: a silk, memory foam pillow that allows you too sleep on your side and still cradles your face without creasing your skin. It’s a dream come true.

I was so astounded with this god send of a product, I reached out to the Sleep & Glow team and they have very kindly gifted you all with promotional codes.

Collaborating with another brand is something I haven’t contemplated before. I would never put my name alongside a product I wasn’t using or impressed by and I am truly in awe with the Omnia Sleep & Glow pillow. There is no other product like it on the market and I hope you get to experience the deep beauty sleep i’ve been having, it’s changed my life.
