Younger For Longer

Longevity Journey

Aging is a beautiful and natural part of life. Growing older teaches us wisdom, it creates a sense of depth and meaning to our existence and rightfully reminds us of the impermanence of life. Nonetheless, I can assume with confidence that if there was an off button for aging, most of us would hit that thing fast, without a hint of hesitation.

What if I told you that this magic button is very close to being created and in fact, may already be here?

Longevity research is the study and pursuit of extending our lifespan, or at least the healthiest years of our lives. I have been implementing this research for many years and putting several different methods in to practice. I am documenting and exploring what works and recording my journey along the way. This topic has been heavily discussed by humanity for centuries and we are getting closer to the finish line.

The data and evidence we have now is incredibly powerful but not perfect. It’s important to know what is safe and what works and I hope my publishing’s help other people to discover their own passage to longevity.

Nutrition & Supplements

Working, having a family or simply just life can get in the way of good nutrition; the most common reason people break their healthy eating is “not having enough time”. It’s chaotic to see in this day and age that we prioritize other people and finances above our own health, probably the most important thing in our lives. It doesn’t matter how much the media shock us or how much data is produced, we don’t want to pay attention or do anything about it. The obesity epidemic is the worst it’s ever been and it’s making us age quicker than ever.

This part of my journey has been the most beneficial to my health, good nutrition keeps my mindfulness and fitness in progression.

Fitness With Longevity

We have known for some time that exercise is vital for our health and mental state but now the data clearly shows a direct correlation between muscle growth and extended lifespan. Muscle isn’t the only requirement for longevity, we can also use breathing techniques, hot and cold exposure and HIIT cardio workouts to trigger our primal survival genes.

My goal is to help others with incorporating these longevity measures into their daily life just as I have done and reap the benefits of feeling stronger, faster and happier.

Beauty In Longevity.

What we look like is the biggest indicator of our internal health. To summarize, those who appear younger do tend to be healthier.

Beauty is a controversial topic and not just for reasons of longevity. This is partially due to the beauty industry and it’s discrimination against the older generations. It seems that women in particular have a beauty expiry date; the majority of women get disregarded from the limelight as soon as they turn 30. With that in mind, I often wonder what will happen when we start looking younger, older? Although the industry is deeply and fundamentally flawed with layers of discrimination, what will happen when women in their 50’s look 30 years younger?

As superficial at is is, I have always felt there are more opportunities for younger people. I would be lying if I didn’t admit to enjoying the confidence that being youthful gives me. There’s a vast amount of technology and products that improve the age of your skin and we’re discovering more everyday.

Mindfulness.

As the mind is arguably the most powerful and vital part of our body, what affects our mood can easily affect our health. There are various techniques including meditation and habitual daily routines that can prevent stress. If we don't act on aliviating stress, it can cause a build up of cortisol, which in turn, can damage our DNA and accelerate aging.

Illnesses such as depression and anxiety have been proven to directly impact our bodies natural defenses against foreign illnesses, it can make us over-eat and it can destroy our sleeping pattern. We should be doing all that we can to keep our minds content, for instance, teaching ourselves to cope efficiently with the obstacles that life can throw at us.

Research & Technology.

Keeping up with the latest gadgets and research can be overwhelming when technology and scientific data is expanding so rapidly. We are continually finding new ways to challenge the dark side of nature and rightly so.

It’s hard not to notice that we are currently alive during the most luxurious period in time so far and we should be making the most of it. We should be using any available recourse to keep improving our own health and lifestyle.

“Our generation views those trying to defy aging as senseless but in future years, they will be the ones deemed as nonsensical”
